Hands and Feet Swelling

Swelling or enlargement of the hands   Congenital lymphedema and Proteus syndrome are the two things that come to mind for congenital enlargement but if later in life consider acromegally and hypothyroidism or secondary lymphedema.

Acute painful swelling could be injury, cellulitis or erysipelothrix .
