Warty lesions in the flexures

 

Most of the papular and red scaly rashes in the flexures can look warty if the degree of papillomatosis is excessive.Warts are of course the commonest cause but flexural Darier's disease,Acanthosis nigricans and Confluent and reticulate papillomatosis can look very warty.If there is a bit of purpura with the warty papules think of Langerhans cell histiocytosis.Epidermal nevi,ILVEN and lichen striatus can all look warty and involve the flexures.
