Arms and Legs Linear

Linear lesions on the arms and legs

The commonest linear lesions on these areas would be epidermal nevi particularly ILVEN and also lichen striatus.Inflammatory linear with blisters would suggest herpes zoster, followed by a plant contact dermatitis or a phytophotodermatitis from a photosensitising sap or juice eg limes.A tender thrombosed superficial vein may give a linear lesion.Warts may have a linear configuration from scratching and implanting the virus.
