Ulcers in the flexures
You do not often get ulcers in these areas unless it is Pyoderma gangrenosum occuring in the breakdown of surgical wounds or some of the venereal diseases such as chancroid and granuloma inguinale or breakdown of extramammary Paget's disease.Ulcers in the groin may be due to underlying Crohn's disease or Behcet's syndrome or rarely to ecthyma gangrenosum.Blistering disorders such as pemphigus and Hailey hailey disease may present as erosions or ulcers in flexural areas.Never forget factitial ulcers in unusual places.
