Flexures Linear

Linear lesions in the flexures

The commonest linear lesions in the flexures would be stretch marks or striae distensae, the latter usually being due to overuse of strong topical steroids. The other linear lesions on these areas would be epidermal nevi particularly ILVEN and also lichen striatus.Inflammatory linear with blisters would suggest herpes zoster, followed by a plant contact dermatitis or a phytophotodermatitis from a photosensitising sap or juice eg limes or a deodorant applied to the axillae.Warts may have a linear configuration from scratching and implanting the virus. The Unilateral laterothoracic exanthem is a rare exanthem involving one axilla found in children. It is red scaly and papular.
